• Who are your target market?

    • African Deli produces ready-made traditional food products to provide modern, urbanized and aspirational traditionalist with busy lifestyles a quick, comforting and convenient pantry-fill linked to their roots and culture and also to re-establish a sense of pride in traditional food and African culture.
  • Why are they your target market?

    • Most Africans could be traced back to both township and village lifestyles where traditional meals were the order of the day. African consumers are increasingly urbanized and modernized. They have moved from a slow food culture to a convenience food culture due to time constrains. Nevertheless, most food offerings currently are either Western or lacking in health attributes or both. This have left a gap in the market for cost-effective, tasty traditional food solutions that are healthy and easy to prepare.
  • What cooking process do you use?

    • Our ingredients are carefully prepared and are sourced from HACCP-certified suppliers. We place the raw materials into individual Dinolo pouches, seal them and gently cook using high pressure and steam until perfect, like a slow cooker. As a result of this process all the flavours, aromas and goodness are sealed inside whilst being protected by the pouch from any source of deterioration and contamination. This also means that the products can be stored at room temperature for up to 18 months.
  • What is the shelf life of the products?

    • Our products have an 18-month shelf life.
  • Can I eat the Dinolo products cold?

    • To enjoy maximum taste, we recommend heating the products before eating it!
  • How do I heat your Dinolo products?

    • Our products can be heated either in the microwave within 3 minutes or in a pot on the stove or boiled in the pouch in water within 5 minutes.
  • Can I freeze or refrigerate the Dinolo products?

    • As a result of our cooking method, our products are completely safe to store in your cupboard at room temperature. Once you have opened the pouch the product is best heated and eaten straight away. The product is also safe to keep in the fridge for 2 days after opening. The pouch contains a rigid layer which may splinter if the pouch is frozen, which may reduce the barrier properties of the pack to bacteria, thereby allowing the contents to spoil.
  • Do your products contain any allergens?

    • Beef tripe in gravy sauce may contain wheat (gluten), egg, cow’s milk & soybeans.
Beef tripe in chilli sauce contains wheat (gluten), barley (gluten).
  • Are your products halal?

    • Currently our products are not halal.
  • Do you have any vegetarian products in the range?

    • Currently our products are not suitable for vegetarians, however our research and development team is currently in the process of developing vegetarian products.
  • Are the pouches recyclable?

    • Our pouches are not recyclable, because they have been made of 4 different composite plastic layers to provide an 18-month shelf life for our products.
